I’m Lisa Melichar, founder of Let Lisa Help, Inc., and I’ve lived both sides of the trauma cycle—as the child of abuse and as the mother helping my child through mental health struggles.
This dual perspective gives me uncommon insight into breaking generational patterns with both compassion and boundaries. As a practicing flight attendant and truth-teller, I bring a unique approach to trauma recovery that focuses on practical tools, not just theory.

Cleared for Takeoff is not therapy and doesn’t replace professional mental health support. While therapy often focuses on processing past events and managing symptoms, this program provides a structured framework for transformation through practical tools, community support, and actionable strategies specific to adult survivors of childhood trauma. Many participants find this program complements their therapy work beautifully.
What if I can’t attend the live calls?
All live calls are recorded and made available within 24 hours. While live participation offers the most personalized support, many participants achieve transformative results by submitting questions ahead of time and watching the recordings. The private community also provides ongoing support between calls.
How much time should I commit each week?
For optimal results, plan to commit 3-5 hours per week. This includes approximately 60 minutes for the video content, 90 minutes for the live call, and 1-2 hours for implementation exercises. The program is designed to integrate into your life, not overwhelm it.
What if I fall behind?
You have lifetime access to all program materials, so there’s no such thing as “falling behind.” The program is designed to be flexible while still providing structure. Many participants revisit certain modules months or even years after completing the program and find new insights each time.
Do I need to share my trauma story with the group?
Absolutely not. While the program creates a safe space for sharing, you’re never required to disclose personal details of your trauma. Many participants achieve profound healing by focusing on patterns and solutions rather than retelling their stories. Your boundaries are always respected.
