Lisa Melichar
Trauma-Informed Inner Healing Coach

As a survivor of narcissistic childhood abuse, I deeply understand and empathize with the experiences of my clients. Through my personal journey and extensive training, I guide clients to (re)discover their inherent worth and authentic selves. I founded Let Lisa Help, Inc. to create a safe space where survivors can unravel the dysfunctional patterns holding them back and build a life they truly love living.

Imagine the person you’d be today if survival hadn’t been your primary childhood focus.

I am here to help you uncover that version of yourself. Together, we will work on overcoming negative self-talk, self-sabotage, perfectionism, and procrastination. We will shift those faulty belief systems (B.S.) to foster inner peace and self-love. You can break free from anxiety, fear, and doubt and create the future you desire, even if your beginnings were marked by trauma and abuse.

My Journey and Commitment

I have dedicated over 30 years to healing from my trauma and abuse. My path has included ongoing therapy, reading countless books, and earning over 20 coaching certifications. Now, I am eager for you to benefit from my journey—from my training, successes, and mistakes. I have overcome the dysfunction to become the grounded, compassionate, and fulfilled person I am today. My mission is to be the catalyst that empowers you on your trauma healing journey. I want you to feel the peace that comes from breaking the cycles of your past.

Why I Became a Trauma Recovery Coach

As a mentor and coach for adult children of dysfunction, my personal experiences provide me with unique insight into the effects of ongoing trauma and cPTSD. While each story is different, shared themes connect us. I grew up with an extremely abusive, alcoholic, narcissistic, and likely bipolar mother. My father was absent, mistakenly believing that removing himself from the home would quell her rage.

My childhood was steeped in fear, leading me to become codependent, perfectionistic, self-critical, anxious, and depressed. I sought relationships with partners who exploited my need to please, and I sacrificed my values and well-being to maintain peace. Despite years of therapy and reading countless books, I remained stuck.

A family crisis became my turning point. While I exhausted myself trying to make everything “right” for those around me, we were still falling apart. One of my children’s psychiatrists required me to take part in several book studies and programs as part of their treatment—a requirement that would change my life. It was as if a switch had been flipped. The knowledge meant to guide my parenting transformed every aspect of my life. I discovered who I was, my values, needs, likes, and dislikes. I learned to honor myself, establish boundaries, and prioritize my well-being. Today, I am the happiest and healthiest I have ever been.

A Calling, Not a Choice

I often tell people I didn’t choose this path—I never imagined I would help other survivors of childhood abuse find their way. But this is, without question, my calling. I want you to know that if I can make it, so can you. The survival tactics that once protected us don’t have to define us forever. Let’s move forward together, transforming survival into true, fulfilling living.

My Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is rooted in my personal experience of healing and growth. I empower clients to reclaim their worth, set healthy boundaries, and live authentically. Combining empathy, deep listening, and evidence-based tools for trauma recovery, I focus on long-term results and healing the root causes of self-defeating mindsets, including people-pleasing, perfectionism, and procrastination. Every client is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. I believe that true transformation begins by addressing underlying issues and patterns rather than surface-level symptoms. Through compassionate guidance and proven methods, I help clients cultivate resilience, inner peace, and genuine self-love.
